Dinner theater: “Uncle Phil’s Diner” is an interactive dinner theater experience produced by the drama group in the Family Life Center at First Covenant Church. The play was written by Dave Avanzino, Coley Fischer and Craig Wilson and features local talent in the roles as the diner staff. National Guard Armory: Winter Dance Party. Jimmy Stanley, who last appeared in Red Wing as the leader of a BeeGees tribute band, returns on Feb. 3 — the anniversary of the airplane crash that claimed the lives of three rock ‘n’ roll pioneers — to headline a Winter Dance Party in the guise of Buddy Holly. Stanley and the Red Wing Crickets will perform music by Holly as well as the other performers who died in the 1959 crash, Ritchie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson.
